“Prepared for the Now”: DC PFI+FLEX Trainers

You know you’re wearing the right sneaker when a boy half your age, looking like he stepped off the cover of a magazine, stops you and asks, “Excuse me, sir, where you’d get those kicks?”

And then the next day, it happens again, when a saleswoman training for a triathlon sidles up to you and points at your feet.

That would be the brand-new DC Training Collection’s Unilite Flex Trainers in bright blue with a neon chartreuse sole.

As DC’s tagline has it, “Prepared for the now” – and these extremely lightweight and flexible sneakers – er, kicks – are nearly as light as a feather on the foot. You put on a pair of these and you feel as if you’re as fleet of foot as Hermes and ready to run the New York City Marathon.

A mesh one-piece upper with no-sew overlays provides air flow to your foot, while the flexible Unilite midsole provides cushioning and impact protection. A mesh relief is built into the Achilles area to reduce heel bite and a heel pull loop affords easy entry. Nylon webbing lace loops offer additional support in the forefoot.

In spite of how cool these kicks look (offered in a trio of cool color combos), what is most impressive is the minimal weight and flexibility, which is a consequence of DC’s revolutionary Unilite midsole technology.

Slip into a pair of DC Unilite Flex Trainers this season and don’t be surprised when your feet get noticed – again and again.
